Job summary

Coosa Valley Medical Center is seeking a Caring CNA to assist patients with daily living activities, take vital signs, and support hygiene while preserving dignity. Under supervision, you will work with clinical leadership to provide compassionate care in a compliant, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; CNA and BCLS certifications are preferred. You will be trained through the hospital program and collaborate with hospital staff to ensure

• Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital personnel.
• Complete hospital specialized training program with on-the-job procedure certification.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and assist patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living while maintaining patient’s dignity.
• Position functions as a care partner under the supervision of the clinical leadership of the department.
• Tasks performed are in accordance with department and hospital policies and procedures and are in compliance with accreditation guidelines and all appropriate legislative Acts.

Qualifications for the job...

• High school education or equivalent required. Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred. BCLS Certification preferred.
• Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital personnel.
• Work requires level of knowledge of basic patient care methods, procedures and techniques generally acquired through hospital or other training program. Consistently meet standards in job performance.
• Must successfully complete hospital specialized training program with associated on-the-job procedure certification.
