Job summary

Coosa Valley Medical Center (CVMC) in Kentucky is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support physicians with direct patient care, perform basic nursing tasks, and maintain high quality standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, at least one year of healthcare experience (clinic setting preferred), CPR certification, and the ability to read and follow detailed instructions while communicating clearly and keeping accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school education required.
• Minimum one year healthcare experience, preferably in a clinic setting.
• Specialized technical training of 1–2 years preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of exam/diagnostic/treatment room procedures and equipment.
• Able to take vital signs and maintain records.
• Able to establish rapport with patients and staff.
• Able to follow written and spoken instructions clearly.

Qualifications for the job...

• High school education required.


• Must have minimum one year experience in healthcare setting, preferably in a clinic setting.


• Specialized technical training of one to two years preferred.


• CPR certification required.


• Must have knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures; knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care; knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.


• Must posses skill in taking vital signs; maintaining records and recording test results.


• Must be able to establish and maintain working relationships with patients, medical staff and public.


• Must be able to read, understand and respond to detailed oral and written instruction; communicate clearly and maintain quality control standards.
