Qualifications

• High school or GED; must commit to advancing through a certification program.
• Two (2) years experience in the field of Community Services; may be volunteer work.
• Plan to obtain Substance Abuse Counselor certification and advance to BHA-I; 180 hours toward BHA-I training and 100 hour clinical practicum under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a licensed clinician, provides village-based substance use assessments, crisis stabilization, case management, screenings, and rehabilitation services.
