Job summary

TTUHSC in Midland is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider in Behavioral Health to augment a supervising physician’s data gathering and care planning. You will deliver inpatient care and participate in patient evaluation under physician oversight.

The role requires Texas PA or NP licensure with appropriate certification; you will document care, order and interpret procedures, and contribute to quality metrics and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a PA program approved by the AMA Council on Allied Health Education Accreditation.
• Current TX PA license or ability to transfer license to TX; PA certification by NCCPA.
• RN/NP path: TX RN license and NP certification to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care to a diverse patient population under department policies.
• Obtain detailed history and perform physical examinations on patients.
• Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Prescribe pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Maintain records and progress notes in patient charts.
• Monitor accuracy of recording on medical records.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, patients and families about care.
• Contribute to quality standards and patient experience metrics.
