Job summary

Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center in Midland, Texas seeks an outpatient LVN to provide direct patient care in a behavioral health setting. You will administer medications, monitor vitals, and assist with daily activities under supervision of RNs and Nursing Managers.

You will educate patients, document data for treatment planning, and help with group therapy activities while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment in a collaborative healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and completion of LVN program.
• Current, active LVN license to practice in Texas.
• Minimum of one year of behavioral health nursing experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team and maintain patient safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and documents patient behavior, progress, and responses to treatment.
• Administers prescribed medications, including psychotropic medications, and notes patient reactions.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and hygiene.
• Takes and records vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate).
• Conducts focused patient assessments and documents data in patient charts.
• Collaborates with psychiatrists and other staff to implement treatment plans.
• Facilitates group therapy sessions or recreational activities.
• Ensures a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
