Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) in Midland seeks an Advanced Practice Provider, Behavioral Health (APRN/PA) to augment our psychiatry team and support patient care planning. You will gather patient data, conduct exams, and implement care plans under physician supervision.

The role requires active Texas PA license or NP certification, with responsibilities including history taking, diagnostics, prescriptions, and meticulous charting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a PA program approved by the relevant accrediting body.
• Current Physician Assistant license in Texas or ability to transfer.
• Certification as a PA as evidenced by NCCPA.
• OR Graduation from an accredited school of nursing as an NP with TX RN license and NP certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care to a diverse patient population per department policies.
• Obtain detailed patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Prescribe appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Maintain records and write orders and progress notes in patient charts.
