Job summary

Quail Run Hospital in Phoenix, AZ seeks an Assistant Director of Intake to lead the Intake Admissions Department, ensuring timely patient flow and staff productivity in a psychiatric setting.

Under the Director of Intake, you will supervise onboarding, conduct evaluations, maintain 24/7 staffing coverage, and support clinicians with admission processes while modeling professional performance and compliance with policy.

Qualifications

• Management/leadership experience of a multiple disciplinary team preferred.
• Thorough working knowledge of Hospital, Intake/Admissions procedures, with demonstrated ability to use skills in clinical and managerial situations required.
• Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
• Current AZ nursing license or compact privileges (out-of-state license must apply for AZ).

Responsibilities

• Assists Director of Admissions with onboarding and training of new staff and completing 90-Day and annual evaluations by due date.
• Evaluates staff performance; monitors schedules and staffing plans; makes necessary changes.
• Performs thorough medical evaluations within scope to support admission process and communicates findings to staff.
• Ensures department is staffed 24 hours a day and fills in as necessary.
• Provides after-hours, on-call coverage as Administrator on Call per rotating schedule.
