AKABA is seeking a Behavior Technician / ABA Therapist to provide 1-to-1 ABA services for children with ASD under supervision of a BCBA. Therapy sessions typically run 3-4 hours and occur after school at the client’s home, community sites, and at our Center.

The role emphasizes local caseloads (within about 30 minutes), travel time pay and mileage reimbursements. A High School diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required, with growth opportunities and ongoing training.

Overview - About the Behavior Technician Position:

Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, the Behavior Technician or ABA Therapist role provides 1-to-1 Applied Behavioral Analysis services to children diagnosed with Autism (ASD). Therapy sessions usually run 3-4 hours and primarily take place during after school hours in the client's home, Community, and/or at our Center. Our team focuses on assigning cases as locally as possible (usually within 30 minutes) to your home address or regular school/other work location

Travel time pay and mileage reimbursements are available (when applicable).

Qualifications of an ABA Therapist / Behavior Technician

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Valid Driver's License (Required)
• Bachelor's degree, EEC and other certifications are welcomed
• Friendly, energetic, and enjoys working with individuals with special needs
• Experience working with children
• Ability to attend an initial orientation
• Timely and organized
• Ability to work independently
• Proven ability to communicate effectively within a variety of situations
