Job summary

Dream Big Children’s Center in Rancho Mirage, CA is hiring a Behavior Therapist to work one-on-one with children to help them learn new skills, build confidence, and reach their goals. You’ll follow personalized plans, use play and patience, and collaborate with families and a supportive team.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, is ideally paired with psychology studies, and requires TB test and livescan clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in progress or completed in psychology or related field preferred, or enrollment in related degree program.
• Experience working with children with autism in educational or therapy setting for at least 6 months.
• Complete TB test and livescan clearance.
• Must be comfortable with diaper changes.
• Must be available M-F 8-5PM.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with children (usually one-on-one) to support behavior goals.
• Follow a personalized plan created for each child.
• Use play, creativity, and patience to teach new skills.
• Support families and share progress.
• Taking notes and tracking the child’s progress.
• Working closely with your team and supervisor to make sure the child is getting the best support possible.
