Job summary

Proud Moments ABA is seeking Behavior Technicians to join our in-home treatment team serving children with autism in Aldie, VA. You will work 1-1 with clients under BCBA supervision, implementing individualized behavioral plans in the home setting.

Ideal candidates are passionate about helping children, reliable, and able to work Monday through Friday 3:00pm-7:30pm. We provide paid training, supportive team environment, and opportunities for growth in a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience working with children or with behavioral challenges preferred.
  • Reliable transportation to assigned locations.
  • Experience with ASD or developmental disabilities preferred; training provided.
  • Maintain confidentiality (HIPAA) and follow company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Work one-on-one with a client in their home to implement behavioral plans designed by BCBA.
  • Collect data to monitor progress and report outcomes of the treatment plan.
  • Support BCBA by training families on implementing treatment plans.
  • Be responsive to clients, families, and supervisors' needs and requests.
  • Maintain clear communication with families, supervisors, and others involved.
  • Physically engage with clients as they move around the session area; involved activities may include lifting 25+ pounds.

Proud Moments ABA is a national behavioral health organization, providing the gold standard of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children on the autism spectrum from birth to age 21. We are looking for Behavior Technicians (BT's) to join our growing team. Our BT's are an essential part of the treatment team- providing 1-1 specialized treatment in partnership with our Board Certified Behaviour Analysts to our clients in a home-based setting.

*This role does require that you can work 5 weekdays, Monday- Friday*
*We do not hire for internship/ summer only roles at this time*

Responsibilities
  • Work one-on-one with a client in their home to implement behavioral plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Collect data to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the individualized treatment plan and report progress
  • Support BCBA with training families on implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors
  • Maintain clear lines of communication with families, supervisors, and other applicable parties
  • Physically keep up with clients as they move about the session area(s). This will require many physical activities including, but not limited to, standing, sitting, bending, lifting 25+ pounds, running, squatting, kneeling, and generally keeping pace with children from 2-15 years old
  • Any other tasks outlined by BCBA/LBA
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience working with children preferred
  • Prior experience providing support to children or adults with behavioral challenges, developmental delays, or special needs preferred
  • Exposure to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities is preferred, though comprehensive training will be provided
  • Reliable personal transportation with the ability to commute consistently to assigned work locations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of client, family, and organizational information in accordance with HIPAA and company policies
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow detailed instructions and document information accurately
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to stay organized and adapt to changing schedules or priorities
