Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians in Detroit. You will work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training so you can help each child reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test.
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing individualized behavior plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills.
• Contribute to reducing interfering behaviors and progress toward goals.
• Participate in training and collaborate with a team.
• Provide safe, supportive care and movement for clients as needed.
