Centria Autism in Portland, OR seeks a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA and implement individualized behavior plans using evidence-based techniques.

You will help teach communication, social and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors. Training is provided, and the role requires patience, teamwork, and a love for helping kids reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age and a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and TB test.
• Background check clearance required.
• Ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under a BCBA's guidance.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Reduce interfering behaviors and support family goals.
