Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a Behavior Technician to support children in schools in San Mateo County. The role focuses on helping children on the autism spectrum develop social and communication skills and reducing challenging behaviors within applied behavior analytic plans.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children with special needs.
• Strong communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• College coursework or related experience in psychology/education/behavioral fields.

Responsibilities

• Help children work on social skills, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Document child progress and milestones.
• Follow and implement behavior change plans created by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
