Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one ABA support in home- or community-based settings, under supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts. The role focuses on helping clients gain communication and independence, with sessions tailored to individual needs.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be 18+. College coursework in psychology or related fields, or relevant experience, is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, or human development preferred; or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental delays and behavioral health challenges.
• Help individuals build social and communication skills.
• Support families by addressing repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Follow behavior-change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
• Collect and document progress, milestones, and session information accurately.
• Create encouraging, structured interactions during every session.

What You Bring

• Passion for working with individuals with special needs
• Strong communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Either:
  • Completed college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, or human development; or
  • At least one year of experience working with children as a Child Development professional, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician
