Job summary

ABS Kids in Davidson, NC, is seeking a part‑time Behavior Technician. You will use play and ABA techniques to teach real-life skills, collecting data on progress and providing one‑on‑one support to children with autism. Training is provided, with opportunities to advance as you gain RBT certification.

Shifts run 8:00am–5:00pm or 9:00am–6:00pm, Monday–Friday. Entry to experienced candidates are welcome; we offer bonuses, mileage reimbursement, and a clear career path with promotions and education

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience with children or adults with special needs.
• On‑the‑job training available for RBT certification.
• Ability to learn data collection software.

Responsibilities

• Make a difference in the life of a child.
• Use play, patience, and ABA therapy to teach real-life skills.
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress.
• Provide one-on-one support to clients with autism spectrum disorder.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff.
• Help the child develop essential life skills such as motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living, potty training, social and emotional skills.
• Get up and down off floor often, move quickly.
