Job summary

ABS Kids in Gastonia, NC is seeking part-time Behavior Technicians to support children with autism using ABA strategies, providing one-on-one client support and data collection.

No experience? We'll train on the job, with paid RBT certification and a $1,000 bonus for current RBTs; new hires learn, grow, and drive meaningful progress in and out of the home.

This role offers a flexible schedule, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement within a supportive national network.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience working with children or adults with special needs
• Heart for helping kids and a calm, steady presence
• Eagerness and energy to play
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and other locations
• Tech savviness to learn data collection software and use basic office software

Responsibilities

• Use play, patience, and ABA therapy to teach real-life skills
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress
• Provide one-on-one support to clients with autism spectrum disorder
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff
• Help the child develop essential life skills such as motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living, potty training, social, and emotional skills
• Get up and down off floor often, move quickly

Job Requirements

$1,000 bonus for current RBTs.

We have variable part-time shifts available for entry-level Behavior Technicians up to seasoned RBTs.

Must have availability 9:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday.

Benefits And Compensation

• $18.00 - $26.00 / hour - ($18.00 / hour training rate)
• Increase to $20.00 / hour once you have RBT certification
• Paid RBT Certification - No experience necessary, we will help you get trained on the job!
• Paid drive time / mileage reimbursement
• 401(k) plus company match
