Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Behavioral Technician to work one-on-one with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental delays and behavioral health challenges. The role offers mileage reimbursement, competitive pay, and flexible hours, with locations in Elk Grove, CA.

Responsibilities include helping clients improve social and communication skills, documenting progress, and implementing behavior plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children with special needs.
• Strong communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or at least one year experience with children in roles like Child Development, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician.

Responsibilities

• Help children work on social skills, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Document child progress and milestones.
• Follow and implement behavior change plans created by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
