Job summary

FirstSteps for Kids is hiring a Behavior Technician (Instructors) in Culver City, CA. You will teach our young learners valuable skills focusing on communication, socialization, self-care, and school readiness.

You'll work with teachers, parents, and BCBA team members, and you can become a Registered Behavior Technician with fees paid by FirstSteps through our paid training program.

Qualifications

• Experience with children diagnosed with autism is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach children essential skills such as communication, socialization, self-care, and school readiness.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and BCBA/behavioral health staff to support progress.
• Pursue RBT credentialing with the company-paid training program.

The Behavior Technician Position (referred to as “Instructors” at FirstSteps)

There is nothing more rewarding than knowing you are making a difference in the life of a child. As a FirstSteps Behavior Technician:

You will have the great privilege of teaching our little ones diagnosed with autism meaningful skills including communication, socialization, self-care, and school readiness

• Experience first-hand a child’s first words, first friend, first shoe tie, and much more
• You will work closely with and learn from teachers, parents, FirstSteps BCBAs, and behavioral health/ mental health specialists
• You will become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with all initial credentialing fees paid by FirstStepsin conjunction with our paid training program

Behavior Technician Wage Info

Our new team members earn a starting clinical wage of $23+ per hour depending on experience. Our Instructors are also eligible to earn multiple wage increases throughout the year.

Ability to lift 50 lbs, sit on floors and/or child-sized furniture, and quickly move from a seated position to running stance.
