Job summary

ABA Centers of New Jersey in Mount Laurel, NJ is hiring Behavior Technicians (BT) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT). The starting pay is $21.25/hour for BTs and $23.50/hour for RBTs, with final compensation based on experience and credentials.

You will deliver ABA therapy, teach essential skills, and document progress under BCBA supervision. The company provides paid training, mentorship, and a clear path for advancement via the ABA Academy of Excellence to help prepare for the RBT exam.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review.
• NJ candidates must be at least 21 years old and have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children, in healthcare, or in a related field.
• BT: 40-hour paid training over 2 weeks, then precepting and RBT exam within 45 days.
• RBT: Active certification; paid training and hands-on supervision.

Responsibilities

• Direct Client Support
• Deliver ABA therapy in homes, schools, communities, or clinics
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills
• Implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision
• Track Progress & Maintain Quality
• Collect, organize, and document session data accurately
• Work closely with BCBAs, team members, and families
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training
• Assist with administrative and clinical support tasks as needed
