Job summary

Friends of Switchpoint Inc. is seeking a compassionate Behavior Technician for a flexible PRN role across various shelter and housing locations in Salt Lake City.

You will build positive relationships, encourage program participation, document interactions, and help maintain a safe environment for residents. This position requires empathy for people facing homelessness, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different shifts.

Qualifications

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents of the facility.
• Be able to de-escalate tense situations and communicate clearly.
• Maintain accurate daily logs of occurrences and incident notes.
• Follow Switchpoint policies and cooperate with management and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals and families experiencing homelessness across multiple sites.
• Build positive relationships and encourage participation in programs and services.
• Document interactions and incidents and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
• Assist with basic tasks including laundry, cleaning, and facility checks.
