Job summary

San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (R39) to support supervision and instruction for students with behavioral needs. You will help develop and monitor Individualized Behavior Plans (BIPs) and attend progress meetings, while assisting with de-escalation and safety procedures.

Candidates should be able to lift/move students when needed, complete required training in de-escalation and CPR within specified timelines, and collaborate with diverse

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of interventions for students with behavioral needs.
• Ability to interpret Behavior Plans and provide feedback.
• Experience collecting and analyzing data to drive action steps.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct observation and support staff on behavior plans.
• Collect, record and summarize data on observable behavior.
• Implement PBIS and other interventions.
• Work with students individually and in groups to meet goals.
• Attend team meetings and provide feedback on student behavior.
• Render first aid in accordance with safety practices.
• Report injuries to site administrator and supervisor.
• Support the classroom teacher to reinforce expectations.
