Job summary

Autism Learning Partners in Santa Monica, CA is seeking caregivers to support children and teens with autism in home and local center settings. This role offers part-time or full-time hours with daily pay options and up to $21–$28 per hour.

You’ll work with families to implement learning activities, track progress, and participate in ongoing training. No certification required; 6+ months of experience with kids is sufficient, and a reliable vehicle is needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed and at least one semester of college coursework
• 6+ months of experience with kids (paid or volunteer)
• Reliable car, driver’s license, and insurance
• Willingness to pass background and health checks
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently

• Help Kids Learn Through Play: Teach children new skills through games or activities.
• Be a Positive Role Model: Encourage progress and celebrate small victories daily.
• Stay Active: Move, play, and engage with kids during sessions.
• Keep Things Organized: Track progress and training notes.

No certification required! Just 6+ months of paid or volunteer experience working with children (babysitting, tutoring, camp counseling, church/youth groups, etc.)

Schedule & Pay

• Job Type: Part-Time (Up to 20 hours) & Full-Time
• Hours: Availability required all weekdays Monday - Friday from 3:30pm to 8pm OR All weekdays Monday - Friday from 8am to 6pm. Sessions will be scheduled within this timeframe based on client needs.
• Work Setting — you’ll primarily provide services in client’s homes, with some sessions held in our local centers depending on your client’s needs
• Daily pay access available so you can get paid as you earn
• Compensation: $21-$28/hr

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or GED completed AND at least one semester of college coursework (or currently enrolled in college courses)
• 6+ months of experience with kids (paid or volunteer — babysitting counts!)
• Reliable car, driver’s license, and insurance
• Willingness to pass background and health checks
• Ability to read, write, and speak English Proficiently
• A big heart, patience, and the ability to keep up with energetic kiddos
