Job summary

Autism Learning Partners is hiring in Los Angeles to support children and teens with autism. You will work in client homes and occasionally at local centers, with shifts evenings and weekends available.

Training is provided, and a pathway to become a certified Behavior Technician is offered. Requires a HS diploma or GED and at least 6 months of experience with kids; driving and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed and at least one semester of college coursework
• 6+ months of experience with kids (paid or volunteer)
• Reliable car, driver’s license, and insurance
• Willingness to pass background and health checks
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
• A big heart, patience, and ability to keep up with energetic kiddos

• Be a Positive Role Model: encourage progress and celebrate small victories
• Stay Active: move around, play, and engage during sessions

Job description

No certification required! Just 6+ months of paid or volunteer experience working with children (babysitting, tutoring, camp counseling, church/youth groups, etc.).

Schedule & Pay

• Job Type: Part-Time (Up to 20 hours) & Full-Time
• Hours: Availability required all weekdays Monday - Friday from 3:30pm to 8pm OR All weekdays Monday - Friday from 8am to 6pm. Sessions will be scheduled within this timeframe based on client needs.
• Work Setting — you’ll primarily provide services in client’s homes, with some sessions held in our local centers depending on your client’s needs
• Daily pay access available so you can get paid as you earn
• Compensation: $21-$28/hr
• New Hire Training is paid at $20/hr

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or GED completed AND at least one semester of college coursework (or currently enrolled in college courses)
• 6+ months of experience with kids (paid or volunteer — babysitting counts!)
• Reliable car, driver’s license, and insurance
• Willingness to pass background and health checks
• Ability to read, write, and speak English Proficiently
