Job summary

Autism Learning Partners is seeking a part-time caregiver to support children and teens with autism in their homes or local centers in North Carolina. The role offers up to 20 hours per week, with after-school weekday sessions 3:30pm–8pm and daily pay access.

You will help kids learn through play, model positive behaviors, stay active during sessions, track progress, and support families as part of a dedicated team. A high school diploma or GED plus some college coursework is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed and at least one semester of college coursework.
• 6+ months of experience with kids (paid or volunteer).
• Reliable car, driver's license, and insurance.
• Willingness to pass background and health checks.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Big heart, patience, and the ability to keep up with energetic kiddos.

• Help Kids Learn Through Play: Teach children new skills like communication, sharing, or following directions—often through fun games or activities.
• Be a Positive Role Model: Encourage progress and celebrate small victories every day.
• Stay Active: You’ll be moving around, playing, and engaging throughout your sessions.

• Support Families: Be part of a team that helps families see real progress and hope.

Schedule & Pay

• Job Type: Part-Time (Up to 20 hours)

• Hours:Availability required all weekdays Monday - Friday from 3:30pm to 8pm. Sessions will be scheduled within this timeframe based on client needs.

• Work Setting— you’ll primarily provide services in client’s homes, with some sessions held in our local centers depending on your client’s needs

• Daily pay accessavailable so you can get paid as you earn

• Compensation: $21-$27/hr

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or GED completed AND at least one semester of college coursework (or currently enrolled in college courses)

• 6+ monthsof experience with kids (paid or volunteer — babysitting counts!)

• Reliablecar, driver’s license, and insurance

• Willingness to pass background and health checks
