Job summary

Astra ABA in Wallace, NC seeks a passionate Behavior Technician to deliver in-home ABA therapy to children, under supervision of a BCBA. The role focuses on skill development in communication, social interaction, play, and academics, using evidence-based strategies.

You will collect data, document progress, and collaborate with families and team to ensure consistent, ethical care, maintaining privacy and following BACB ethics.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 in-home ABA therapy under BCBA supervision.
• Implement treatment and BIPs with fidelity.
• Collect and submit same-day SOAP notes on client progress.

• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality per policy.

Behavior Technician (BT) - Full-Time Position

Job Summary:

Astra ABA is seeking a passionate and experienced Behavior Technician (BT) to join our team of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapists in Wallace, NC. As a BT, you will play a vital role in providing individualized therapy to children in their homes, supporting them on their journey to realizing their full potential. Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children in-home settings, implementing treatment and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) with fidelity under BCBA supervision.

• Utilize ABA techniques such as positive reinforcement, shaping, and natural environment teaching (NET) to support skill development in communication, social, play, adaptive, and academic domains.

• Collect accurate data on client progress during every session and submit same-day SOAP notes.

• Collaborate and maintain clear communication with BCBAs, families, and team members to ensure a cohesive and effective therapeutic approach.

• Protect client dignity, privacy, and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA, adhering to BACB Ethics Code for RBTs only and company policies.

• Participate in ongoing training and supervision as required.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience with aggression and self-injurious behaviors needed.

Work Hours:

• Monday-Friday, 1:00 PM-7:00 PM

• Saturday 9:00 AM-2:00 PM (weekend negotiable)
