Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Behavioral Technician to provide one-on-one support for children and adults with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental challenges. Responsibilities include implementing behavior plans and documenting progress to help clients improve social and communication skills in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children with special needs.
• Strong communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Completion of college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or 1 year experience with children in relevant roles.

Responsibilities

• Help children work on social skills, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Document child progress and milestones.
• Follow and implement behavior change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
