Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a School-Based Behavior Technician in the McMinnville, OR area for the 2026-2027 school year. You will support students with intense behavior challenges in 1:1 and small groups, following school-day hours and calendar.

The role offers a stable 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule, W-2 employment with liability insurance, health benefits, and professional development support within a therapist-led, female-operated team.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or at least 60 completed college credits.
• Paraprofessional Credential such as ParaPro or ParaEducator assessments.
• Previous school-based behavior support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavior challenges.
• Implement behavior support plans and de-escalation strategies.
• Collaborate with therapists, teachers, and school staff.
• Adhere to school calendar and 8:00–16:30 schedule.

What We’re Looking For

• Associates Degree or equivalent, or 2 years post secondary and at least 60 completed credits OR
• Paraprofessional Credential (such as passing score on ParaPro or ParaEducator Assessments )
• Previous experience working in the school setting and/or supporting behavior preferred
