Job summary

Autism Learning Partners is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician to support children and teens with autism in Holyoke, MA. Sessions are conducted in clients' homes (and some centers), weekdays 3:30pm–8pm, with daily pay access.

Compensation ranges from $22 to $28 per hour, for up to 20 hours weekly. Requirements include a high school diploma or higher in a related field (or equivalent childcare experience) plus experience with developmental disabilities, reliable transportation, and ability

Qualifications

• Must meet at least one of: high school diploma + 6+ months childcare exp AND 12+ months with developmental disabilities OR
• Associate’s degree or higher + 6+ months childcare exp AND 6+ months with developmental disabilities

Responsibilities

• Teach children through play to develop communication and social skills.
• Be a positive role model and celebrate progress daily.
• Stay active during sessions and engage with kids.
• Keep session notes and track progress as trained.

Schedule & Pay

• Job Type: Part-Time (Up to 20 hours)
• Hours: Availability required 4-5 weekdays Monday - Friday from 3:30pm to 8pm. Sessions will be scheduled within this timeframe based on client needs
• Work Setting - you'll primarily provide services in client's homes, with some sessions held in our local centers depending on your client's needs
• Daily pay access available so you can get paid as you earn
• Compensation: $22-28

What You’ll Need

• Must meet at least one of the following:
• High school diploma, plus 6+ months of professional childcare experience AND 12+ months of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities OR
• Associate’s degree or higher in a related field, plus 6+ months of professional childcare experience AND 6+ months of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities
• Reliable car, driver's license, and insurance
• You can pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, TB test, Pre-employment Physical Exam, and have or receive immunities to MMR/ VZV during our onboarding, which we will pay for
• Ability to read, write, and speak English Proficiently
• A big heart, patience, and the ability to keep up with energetic kiddos

• Be a Positive Role Model: Encourage progress and celebrate small victories every day.
• Stay Active: You'll be moving around, playing, and engaging throughout your sessions.
• Keep Things Organized: Track what you worked on and how your kiddo did (we'll train you on this too).
• Support Families: Be part of a team that helps families see real progress and hope.
