Job summary

Devereux/TCV Community Services is launching the STAIRS residential program to support youth with autism and developmental disabilities. The Behavior Support Specialist provides hands‑on care, builds relationships, and helps residents achieve goals in a structured, therapeutic setting.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and behavior analysts, to implement treatment plans and promote safety while encouraging independence and social skills across

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor or higher degree preferred.
• 1 year experience in a psychiatric residential treatment facility preferred.
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Intellectual Disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement Individualized Positive Behavior Support Plans and Behavioral Health Treatment Plans.
• Provide Direct Care & Supervision of residents during daily activities and outings.
• Support Self‑Care & Daily Living Skills for residents with limited independence.
• Prevent and respond to challenging behaviors using approved intervention techniques.
• Facilitate individual and group sessions to build social and communication skills.
