Job summary

Clarvida is seeking a Behavior Support Specialist to conduct functional behavioral assessments and develop, implement, and monitor behavior support plans in Lehighton, PA. This full-time role focuses on positive behavioral strategies and collaboration with participants and support teams.

The position requires advanced degrees in human services, strong data collection skills, and experience with behavior planning. Training staff and ensuring regulatory compliance are key duties.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Human Services or a closely related field (or Bachelor’s under supervision)
• Proficient with MS Office; able to learn HCSIS, PROMISe, Avatar EHR
• Experience with behavioral assessment, planning, and data collection

Responsibilities

• Completes functional assessments and develops strategies to support individuals with behavioral difficulties
• Develops, implements, and reviews Behavior Support Plans and Restrictive Procedures Plans using positive practices
• Ensures staff, family, and participant training on plan implementation
• Collects, monitors, and evaluates behavioral data to measure progress
• Observes individuals in various settings to inform plan development
• Collaborates with families and teams to create non-restrictive supports
• Performs documentation including data, progress reports, and annual planning materials
