Job summary

Pathways in Lehighton, PA is seeking a Behavior Support Specialist to conduct functional behavioral assessments, develop and monitor behavior support plans, and train staff, families, and participants in positive, non-restrictive strategies.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, collect data, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while providing compassionate, evidence-based care across community-based settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Human Services or Bachelor’s under supervision is required.
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License with a good driving record.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office and ability to learn HCSIS, PROMISe, Avatar EHR.
• Experience in behavioral assessment, behavior planning, and data collection.
• Ability to work collaboratively with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Performs functional assessments and develops strategies to support individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Designs, implements, and reviews Behavior Support Plans and Restrictive Procedures Plans using positive practices.
• Provides training to staff, families, and participants on plan implementation.
• Collects, monitors, and evaluates behavioral data to assess progress and outcomes.
• Collaborates with participants, families, and team members to create effective, non-restrictive support strategies.
• Maintains documentation including data, progress reports, and planning materials in compliance with regulations.
