Job summary

Wayzata Public Schools ISD 284 seeks a Behavior Paraprofessional to join the student support team. You will collaborate with principals and the school counselor to provide solution-based interventions for students struggling to regulate their behavior throughout the day.

The role runs from 7:30am to 2:30pm, including a half-hour unpaid lunch, and focuses on supervising students in a high-energy school setting while implementing supportive strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience with young children, preferably in a school environment.
• Ability to connect with students experiencing challenges using a solution mindset.
• Ability to multitask and supervise in a high-energy environment.
• Reflective, patient and a proven ability to think flexibly in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school principals and counselor to provide solution-based interventions for students.
• Supervise and support students throughout the school day to maintain a safe and productive environment.
