Job summary

Wayzata Public Schools ISD 284 seeks a Behavior Paraprofessional to join the student support team. You will collaborate with principals and the school counselor to provide solution-based interventions for students struggling to regulate their behavior throughout the day.

The role runs from 7:30am to 2:30pm, including a half-hour unpaid lunch, and focuses on supervising students in a high-energy school setting while implementing supportive strategies.

Qualifications

Position Description

The Behavior Paraprofessional at North Woods is an important member of the student support team. They work collaboratively with the principals and school counselor to provide solution based interventions for students who are experiencing difficulty regulating throughout the school day. The duty day for this individual runs from 7:30am-2:30pm. (includes .5 hour unpaid lunch).

• Experience working with young children, preferably in a school environment
• Ability to make strong connections with students experiencing challenges. Solution mindset.
• Ability to multitask and supervise students in an environment that is highly energized
• Reflective, patience and a proven ability to think flexibly in stressful situations
