Job summary

EdAdvance in Torrington, CT seeks a full-time Special Education Paraeducator to support students' academic, behavioral, and social development. Responsibilities include collaborating with certified teachers, implementing individualized plans, and maintaining a positive classroom environment. Qualifications

• Must have taken and passed the ParaPro test or have 2 years full-time post-secondary education (minimum 60 credits) or an Associate's Degree or higher.
• Preference will be given to candidates pursuing or interested in becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
• Support students in developing independent learning skills.
• Collaborate effectively with teachers and school staff.
