Job summary

Pentucket Regional School District in Merrimac, Massachusetts, is seeking a Behavioral Paraeducator to support students with intensive needs in Special Education Programs. The role focuses on implementing treatment plans and data collection to monitor progress.

To be eligible, staff must complete district-funded RBT training within the required timeframe. A $2000 annual pay differential is added to the hourly rate, and some PD time may be used for training.

Qualifications

• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for direct implementation of treatment plans related to skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
• Assist in delivering behavior-analytic services under the direction and close supervision of a BCBA.
• Collaborate with team members to determine modifications, accommodations, and assessment approaches necessary for student success.
• Work with a team to support students in an academic environment.
• Collect data across different skills and behaviors daily.
• Implement and oversee student behavior plans.
• Promote generalization of students’ acquired skills.
• Assist the BCBA in implementing behavioral programming.
• Create an environment conducive to student learning.
• Direct and assist with toileting and toilet training as needed.
