Placer County Office of Education is seeking a part-time Behavior Support Assistant who reports to the County Superintendent and supervises under designated managers. The role involves collecting and charting data on student behavior and modeling ABA-based intervention strategies to support BSPs and BIPs.

The position supports teaching staff with students having communicative or physical disabilities and performs general classroom assistance tasks as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Proof of High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPI training certificate or obtain within six months of employment.
• CPR/First Aid certification or obtain within 30 days of employment.
• 60 semester units completed (or higher).
• Associate's Degree or higher.
• Passing of local Reading/Writing and Mathematics assessment.

Aufgaben

• Gathers and charts data related to student behavior and models behavior intervention strategies.
• Assists classroom staff and instructional support staff in implementing Behavior Support Plans (BSP) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
• Provides support to help teaching staff instruct students with communicative or physical disabilities.
• Performs general classroom assistance duties.
