YAI is seeking a Behavior Support Assistant to work under supervision, assist with FBAs and BSPs, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to teach life skills and manage crises.

You will provide ABA counseling, train DSPs and PWS, collect data accurately, and ensure documentation and compliance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements. Travel across the region to support BHS Homes as needed.

Qualificações

• Shall be at least 18 years of age; and High School Diploma or its educational equivalent.
• Two (2) years of experience working in an ABA environment or in a similar human services role with I/DD or behavioral challenges; at least one (1) year direct with I/DD or behavioral challenges.
• Must hold or obtain RBT certification within six months of appointment and maintain for duration of assignment.
• Must hold a valid Driver’s license with no more than 5 points.
• New Jersey drug screen is mandatory prior to employment and randomly/for cause.
• Proficient computer skills including email, Workday, electronic health records and MS Office.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to teach others and work collaboratively.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with conducting FBAs and BSPs under supervision; involve families in planning.
• Provide group/individual ABA counseling and crisis intervention.
• Coach and train DSPs and PWS in progressive teaching and data collection.
• Communicate with person, caregivers and support system about needs and progress.
• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes and incident/accident reports.
• Support activities of daily living (ADLs) and community outings when needed.
• Travel regionally to visit persons supported and develop/monitor plans.
