Job summary

Sylvania is seeking an Aide – Behavior to support students with behavioral and social-emotional needs in a school setting. You will assist with implementing behavior plans, monitor behavior, and help maintain a safe learning environment under certified staff supervision.

The role emphasizes helping students develop self-regulation and communication skills, supporting instructional activities, and maintaining accurate behavior records to inform teachers and support personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with behavioral intervention strategies is preferred.
• Ability to document and maintain behavioral records accurately.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans and strategies.
• Provide individual and small group support for social-emotional skills.
• Monitor and document student behavior and responses to interventions.
• Assist students in developing self-regulation and communication skills.
• Support classroom instruction and help students access curriculum.
• Maintain safety during classroom, school, and community activities.
• Assist with de-escalation strategies under supervision.
• Keep records of student behavior and progress.
