Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education in Indianapolis is seeking a Behavior Specialist to join our Special Education team and support K-12 students with behavioral needs.

The role focuses on implementing universal and targeted interventions, data collection, collaboration with IEP teams, crisis de-escalation, and applying ABA principles under supervision to improve student outcomes in a dynamic school setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• RBT credential preferred and crisis management training certification.

Responsibilities

• Implement targeted interventions to improve academic, social-emotional and behavioral outcomes.
• Reinforce positive behavior and model effective strategies for staff.
• Maintain records related to SBS and BIPs and monitor student progress.
• Collect and chart behavioral data in collaboration with IEP teams.
• Provide guidance to classroom staff on behavior management and supervision of students.
• Apply ABA principles under supervision to address disruptive behaviors and develop BIPs.
