Job summary

The Watson Institute in Sharpsburg, PA seeks a Behavior Specialist to provide therapeutic support for students with autism at the WISCA campus. You will work with classroom teams to implement positive behavior strategies and monitor progress.

The role emphasizes collaboration with staff, data-driven planning, and expertise in crisis management for student safety within a school setting. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, education, or related field required.
• BCBA/license preferred.
• Experience with autism and behavior problems expected.
• Experience writing, implementing, and evaluating behavior support plans.
• Strong collaboration with classroom teams.

Responsibilities

• Complete observations on students.
• Consult with classroom team.
• Complete functional behavioral assessments.
• Complete stimulus preference assessments.
• Support PBIS program design and implementation.
• Develop data collection protocols.
• Trend and analyze data.
• Train staff in behavior management procedures.
• Contribute to IEPs and progress reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
