Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Behavior Specialist in West Lawn, PA to collaborate with the treatment team and implement recovery‑oriented plans for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses.

You will provide intensive therapeutic services across settings, lead development and monitoring of behavioral interventions, and utilize person‑centered approaches to collect data and train on plans.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, applied behavior analysis or related field.
• PA license or eligibility as LBS/LMFT/LSW/LCSW/LPC or BCBA.
• At least one year of experience in behavioral health with mental health/developmental disabilities.
• Valid PA Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with treatment team to assess and design recovery‑oriented plans for individuals with developmental disability and mental health diagnoses.
• Providing intensive therapeutic services in settings such as community housing, schools, and community programs.
• Leading development and monitoring of behavioral support interventions or collaborating with external support professionals.
• Delivering individual and group treatment using modalities tailored to each person’s needs and treatment plan.
• Collecting and presenting behavioral data via functional behavioral assessment processes.
• Conducting trainings related to implementing person‑centered plans.

Behavior Specialist

Location: West Lawn, PA

Hourly Rate: $31.71/hour

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in psychology, counseling, applied behavior analysis or another health and human service‑related field.
• Licensed in the state of PA or license eligible as a Behavior Specialist (LBS), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC) or Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst.
• At least one year experience in the behavioral health field working with individuals with mental health/developmental disabilities.
• Valid PA Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with other members of the treatment team, assessing, designing, and directing the implementation of a recovery‑oriented treatment and support plan that uses a person‑centered approach for children and adults with a developmental disability and mental health diagnosis.
• Providing intensive therapeutic services in all types of settings, including but not limited to community living arrangements, schools, community settings, natural support residences, and more.
• Leading development and monitoring of behavioral support interventions and/or collaborating with external behavior support professionals.
• Providing individual and group treatment and support, choosing applicable modalities according to each individual’s/family’s needs and treatment plan.
• Collecting, evaluating, and presenting behavioral data through a functional behavioral assessment process.
• Conducting trainings related to the implementation of person‑centered plans.
