Job summary

Merakey in Lewistown, PA seeks a fee-for-service Licensed Behavior Consultant to develop and implement individualized behavior plans for children and adolescents across home, school and community settings.

You will assess progress, collaborate with mobile therapists and treatment teams, and monitor outcomes to ensure non-aversive, evidence-based interventions are applied and adjusted as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
• Professional licensure in Pennsylvania as LBS, LSW, LCSW, LMFT or LPC.

Position Overview

Merakey is seeking a fee‑for‑service Licensed Behavior Consultant to join our Children’s Services program in Lewistown, PA. The role involves developing individualized behavior intervention plans for children and adolescents in Mifflin and Juniata Counties, providing assessment, consultation, and progress monitoring across home, school, and community settings.

Schedule & Compensation

Fee for service with a flexible schedule based on caseload. Earn $30–$35 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee individualized behavior intervention plans, including goal setting and selection of evidence‑based, non‑aversive strategies.
• Collaborate with mobile therapists and treatment team members, providing expert consultation and support throughout the treatment process.
• Conduct behavioral assessments and monitor progress, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure effective outcomes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and family‑focused consultations, including school‑based or community meetings when behavioral guidance is required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Professional licensure in Pennsylvania (Licensed Behavior Specialist, Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Counselor).
• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or another related human services field.
