Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a Behavior Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year in Brooklyn Park, MN. This full-time, in-person role pays $55-65/hour and includes liability insurance and benefits.

Qualified candidates may hold Minnesota licenses via PELSB (Tier 3 or 4) or BCBA credentials. Previous classroom experience and ability to pass background checks are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or related field.
• Active Minnesota license in Special Education Teacher, Social Worker, or School Psychologist (PEL SB Tier 3 or 4).
• Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) also accepted.
• Previous experience in a classroom setting preferred.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Consult and implement positive behavior interventions and supports for students.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Consult, communicate, and work cooperatively with teams to provide appropriate programming for students.
• Implement positive behavior interventions and supports to progress student learning and de-escalate when needed.
• May be required to use restrictive procedures.

What You'll Do

• Consult and implement positive behavior interventions and supports for the students
• Conduct functional behavior assessments

• Implement positive behavior interventions and supports to support student progress, reinforcing positive behaviors, utilizing de-escalation techniques, and redirecting inappropriate behaviors
• May be required to use restrictive procedures

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master'sDegree in Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or related field
• Active Minnesota Special Education Teacher, Social Worker, or School Psychologist license through PELSB (Tier 3 or 4)
• Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) also accepted
• Previous experience working in the classroom setting is preferred
• Must pass background check and drug screening
