Job summary

ND Health and Human Services in Minot, ND seeks a Skills Trainer (Behavioral Modification Specialist) to support individuals in their homes and communities. You will teach daily living, household, communication and emotion regulation skills as part of an integrated team.

You will travel to clients' homes, promoting independent living with guidance from licensed professionals. A valid driver's license and defensive driving completion are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education, child development and family science, human services, marriage and family therapy, applied behavioral analysis, speech pathology, therapeutic recreation, occupational therapy, behavioral health, or communication disorders.
• OR a bachelor's degree in one of the above fields and two years of work experience in the respective discipline with supervision by a licensed practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Teach daily living skills and household skills in home or community settings.
• Develop and implement individualized support plans with an interdisciplinary team.
• Provide instruction in communication and emotion regulation.
• Support clients to achieve independent living goals in familiar environments.
