Job summary

The role involves collaborating with teachers and staff to develop behaviour intervention plans and support students exhibiting challenging behaviours. Applications will be coordinated through the district.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in a related field is required.
  • BCBA certification (or working toward it) is required or encouraged.
  • Experience writing behaviour plans for students with behaviour difficulties, including Autism, emotional disturbance, or related conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement behaviour intervention plans for students with challenging behaviours and collaborate with educators, administrators and support staff.

Education

Master's Degree or higher in School Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, School Social Work, Educational Specialist or related field
Board Certified Behaviour Analyst Certification (BCBA) or working towards the certification

  • Possess Board Certified Behaviour Analyst Certification (BCBA) or working towards the certification
  • Experience writing behaviour plans for students with behaviour difficulties, to include students with Autism, emotional disturbance, TBI, etc.
  • ABA or similar research-based training experience and training
Purpose:

The Behaviour Management Specialist will work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement behaviour intervention plans and directly support students exhibiting challenging behaviours.
