Job summary

Rum River Special Education Co-Op is seeking an Instructional Assistant/Academic and Behavior Manager to support students with instructional goals in classrooms across campuses.

The role involves one-to-one and small-group support, behavior management, and collaboration with licensed staff on IEP objectives, lesson planning, and data entry. Applicants may require ParaPro/ParaEducator credentials and an AA degree; PCA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• ParaPro or ParaEducator Certification, contingent upon completion after hire.
• Associates degree is acceptable.
• PCA Certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with academic or behavioral goals, one-to-one or small group, under the direction of the supervising teacher or licensed staff.
• Support student discipline with positive reinforcement and uphold program traits.
• Prepare classroom materials including IEP-related documents and accommodations.
• Assist with group educational activities and plan with teachers regarding IEP objectives.
• Record observations and behavior documentation; assist with crisis intervention and behavior management as needed.
