Job summary

Verbal Behavior Associates is seeking compassionate clinicians to join our mission-driven team in the South San Diego area. You’ll work 1:1 with children with special needs, implementing ABA strategies and tracking progress through data and notes.

We offer flexible schedules (3 weekdays, 3 hours per day, 3:00–7:00pm), competitive hourly rates, paid training, and benefits including a 401(k) plan and cell phone stipend. Training can be online or in person.

Qualifications

• Have a HS diploma or equivalent, and be 18 years of age or older.
• Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Be open to work at least 3 days on weekdays for a 3 hour shift (3:00–7:00pm).
• Be available to attend one training schedule for two weeks (in person or online).
• If hired, take a TB Test & Live Scan, provide proof of MMR and TDap vaccination.
• Experience with children and/or disabilities is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with children to support communication, self-help, social, and play skills.
• Implement behavior plans designed by BCBAs and tailor techniques to individual needs.
• Track progress by collecting behavior data and recording clinical notes.
• Attend ongoing development and training to strengthen the team and services.
