Qualifications

• PDE Home School Visitor Educational Specialist certification or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) preferred.
• HSV or LSW alternative: candidates with a Bachelor's Degree and willingness to pursue HSV will be considered.
• Willingness to further education to obtain HSV is valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive interpersonal relationships within pupil services teams and with external referral agencies.
• Engage in social case work and investigate family problems.
• Assist staff in collaborating with community resource providers and social work agencies.
• May serve as attendance officer and address attendance issues in school settings.
• Provide for students' needs through referrals to school psychologists or guidance counselors.
