Job summary

Poway Unified School District seeks a Behavioral Intervention Technician to support students with behavioral and mental health needs within IEP frameworks. You will work under supervision to implement ABA-inspired strategies, collect data, and assist with individualized plans to improve student access to learning.

The role involves 1:1 and small-group work, collaboration with teachers and families, and a focus on safety and student well-being in diverse school settings.

Qualifications

• Two years of behavior support experience in a school or home setting.
• Completion of 2 years of college level training or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience with ABA, behavior management, mental health systems preferred.
• BCBA certification preferred (or actively working towards obtaining it).

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of positive behavior intervention strategies and progress monitoring for IEP goals.
• Work 1:1 or in small groups to support behavior management and readiness to learn.
• Assist with data collection, graphing, and analysis for behavior goals.
• Assist in developing Behavior Intervention Plans and reinforcement systems.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to train and coach on behavior supports.
