S:US is seeking a Behavior Intervention Specialist to assess and monitor challenging behaviors in residential settings, delivering direct behavior analysis and services while fostering self-determination.

The BIS will coordinate with the IDT, develop BSPs, and support families, with a focus on reporting, training staff, and participating in committees. A Master’s degree and LMSW/LCSW licensure or eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in clinical or treatment field (required).
• LMSW/LCSW licensure (required) or eligibility for exemption under NYS provisions.
• 2 years’ experience with IDD and behavioral health needs (strongly preferred).

Responsabilités

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments as required.
• Develop and review Behavior Support Plans (BSP) annually or as needed.
• Coordinate with IDT for informed consent and changes to plans.
• Complete paperwork for Informed Consent Committee and obtain approval.
• Collect and analyze data to adjust FBA and BSP.
• Attend mandatory meetings and trainings and provide staff training.
